Interview with Her Dying Regret!

Band: Her Dying Regret
Genre: Metalcore

Q: Why did you chose the name "Her Dying Regret" for your band?

We chose the name Her Dying Regret because we couldn't think of any bands in our genre that had a similar sounding name, it took a lot of brainstorming but we think our name is suits our style, what we write about and is easy to remember.

Q: What is the local metal scene like in Reading, UK?

The local metal scene in Reading isn't to bad there are some decent ameture metal bands growing and metal giants Sylosis are also from Reading and there are usually showcase shows that are played at the end of the month, our venues Facebar and Sub89 have attracted larger bands such as Carnifex, Thy Art Is Murder and Veil of Maya

Q: How was the feedback for your debut EP, The Siren

The feedback was surprisingly good, we didn't expect it to do so well as it was our first release and looking back on it now the tracks are very simple to play on guitar but it was defiantly a good start for us.

Q: What label would you like to be signed to the most and why?

We'd like to get signed by either Rise Records or Sumerian records, although they are both US labels most of our fans are from the US so being signed to them would help us achieve the dream of moving out to the states one day.

Q: What influences, if any, play a part in your music creating process?

We're influenced by many bands/artists from different genres for example August Burns Red, Veil of Maya, Korn, Borgore, we just write what we think sounds good, especially in our new material

Q: What are your plans for the rest of this year?

We're recording an album in the summer, we've got a few shows booked and we're going to record some music videos to support the album, we'll also be jumping on as many shows as we can and hopefully attract a label or management to support us along the way

Q: Any shout outs to give?

Shoutout to our friends Condemned from the south west, Until We Fade from London, Terakai from Reading and Schemata Theory from Reading, check our all those bands they're great guys.
