1000 Plane Raid - Deals With The Unspoken [REVIEW]

Genre(s): Progressive / Melodic / Deathcore

1000 Plane Raid's debut single into the deathcore scene, "Deals With The Unspoken" is a fantastic deathcore song. The sound 1000 Plane Raid brings to the table can be compared to being hit with a bag full of bricks. It hits you hard, very hard. It starts out with guitar chugging and blast beats, and soon low screams are to be heard. The whole tone and rhythm of this song is fucking heavy. It is the kind of song you make a disgusting face to and pump your shoulders to the beat, and it puts the feeling of wanting to break shit into your mind. There is a small break at 1:00 until 1:20 where it focuses on the guitar being played, showing the progressive side of the song. Soon thereafter, there is a large breakdown.

At 2:00 in the song there is a break with ambient sounds, that strays away from the straight deathcore sound the song usually has. The pace transitions into an upbeat one with drums and guitars, and the sound turns more progressive. The song ends off with a melodic guitar tone that follows in sync with low screams. It is really done well.

"Deals With The Unspoken" is probably one of my top five favorite deathcore singles to drop this year. It has elements of straight heavy deathcore, progressive deathcore, and melodic deathcore mixed into one. It doesn't overdo any one type of sound but has them all equaled for a great listening experience. I highly recommend you check out this single and whatever 1000 Plane Raid has in store for the future.

Score: 5/5
