Interview with Paddington Frisk!

Facebook
Genre(s): Progressive Metal
Location: Brownsville, TX

PSAB: Where did the band name “Paddington Frisk” come from exactly?

PF: Our vocalist came up with the name. "To dance to the Paddington frisk" is a colloquial term used back in the day to describe those who were being publicly executed by hanging because I suppose they do a little shaking during the struggle they go through.

PSAB: You're currently unsigned, if you could be signed to any record label, which label would that be and why?

PF: Probably Sumerian Records. Most of my favorite bands are on there.

PSAB: What is the local metal scene like in Brownsville, TX?

PF: I can't say the metal scene in Brownsville is very impressive because its not hah but by making an hour drive to mcallen, the scene is quite a step up there. In Brownsville , you'll find mostly thrash, black and death metal. Not really any prog.

PSAB: Which bands play the most influence on your music?

PF: For me it would be Protest the Hero, Born of Osiris, The Faceless, Periphery, Animals as Leaders and other bands along those lines.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to your fans?

PF: Shout outs for fans? I don't know if we even have any lol . Well we certainly have gotten nothing but good feedback about our music... Which I would assume that means we have some fans. You've been talking to Michael by the way. Thank you all for taking an interest.
