Interview with Promethean!

Genre(s): Deathcore
Location: Toowoomba

PSAB: Why did you choose the name "Promethean" for your band?

Promethean: Before we were called "Promethean" we went under the name "As Oceans Die" I guess you could say it was just an attempt not to sounds so Metalcore. And the story behind the Greek titan "Prometheus" which the name is derived from, is just really intense and brutal, so it matches our style of music quite well.
PSAB: You released a new single, "Planetary Devastation" back in June. How was the feedback for that single? Also, when can we expect new music?

Promethean: The feedback for it was really good, we had a vocal change between our two songs we have up. And everyone responded to it really well, whether it was friends in other bands or people coming up to us and telling us what they think. They all defiantly agree it's a better more in your face style than our previous single, which is what we were aiming for.

We are currently writing our EP, and we've ball parked the time we'll be looking to recording it, we know who were doing it with. So Hopefully before the end of the year.
PSAB: You are sponsored by Pure Deathcore. How has the experience been working with them?

Promethean: So far, very chill we've only been with them for a couple of days. But there has been a steady rise of attention being paid towards us. So we are very happy with that, and even happier to have them backing us.
PSAB: How is the metal scene in your area?

Promethean: The Toowoomba scene has had it's fair share of Mishaps, but thanks to the efforts of a few  great men know only as "Kez" and "Gnarly Grimes" and Everyone else we've gotten through all the venue closings and what not. And all is well and going smoothly for the Toowoomba scene.
PSAB: What one band has played the most influence on your music?

Promethean: It differs for each member. But, Aegaeon's album "Dissension" is the one Most of us would agree on.
PSAB: Have any shout outs to give to the readers?

Promethean: Definitely to the guys in "My Friend the Betrayer", "King Hit the Queen" and "Pure Deathcore". And everyone that has showed us support or helped us out in anyway. Thank you all very much!!!
