Interview with Resolve And Reside!

Genre(s): Metalcore
Location: Tacoma, Washington

PSAB: Why did you choose the name "Resolve and Reside" for your band?

RAR: Well as with many bands, you sort of just start coming up with names that sound nice a stick in your head. Once someone thought of the name Resolve & Reside for our band, we sort of attached our own different meanings to it as we went on.

PSAB: You released a single titled "Arrogance" back in July. How has the feedback been for that?

RAR: The initial response to Arrogance was really good. The response while playing this song live was amazing. Seeing people pitting and going nuts at a venue is something we like to see, so we attempted to make this song as well as a lot of our other songs something that you can go wild to.

PSAB: If you could share the stage with any band, which band would that be?

RAR: August Burns Red, definitely. I'm sure I speak for most of our band when I say that all of us have a serious respect for their technique and skill as musicians. August Burns Red is one of the bigger influences of our bands style and we definitely hope to share the stage with them someday really soon.

PSAB: How's the metal scene in Tacoma, Washington?

RAR: The scene is small but really close, most venues locally have shut down unless you travel to Seattle so we hope to bring back some of the hardcore scene to Tacoma, and it's surrounding areas.

PSAB: What are the top three bands that play an influence on your music?

RAR: August Burns Red, Texas In July, and Fit for a King (Who we play with in Seattle on 10/4!).

PSAB: Any shout outs to give to the readers out there?

RAR: Shout out Redeem the Exile, those dudes are great and really fun to play with. Shout out to our manager Sebastian. And most of all a shout out to our small loyal fan base for supporting us by listening to our music, buying our merch, and coming out to shows; couldn't be where we are without you, so thanks.

Also be sure to come see us play Studio 7 on 10/4 w/ Being as an Ocean / Fit for a King / Gideon / Wolves at the Gate / and Capsize!
