Interview with Morbid Feculent!

Genre(s): Deathcore
Location: Rumilly, France

PSAB: Why did you choose the name "Morbid Feculent" for your band?

MF: Morbid Feculent was born in 2010, at this time we never thought that our band who was just making noise in a garage could become a serious band. So we just found a perfectly ridiculous name, cliché as possible. And even when we became to do plenty of gigs and release our first EP we just decided to keep it. This name reminds us not taking ourselves too seriously and being realistic.

PSAB: You're currently working on a new album for this year? Do you have an estimate when it will be released?

MF: We just released our second EP, “Gears Of Sins” ! And we are very proud of it, he sounds more mature.

PSAB: If you had the choice to have a musician featured on one of your tracks. Which musician would that be and why?

MF: I think we would choose Florian, the singer of The Walking Dead Orchestra. He is a good friend and rocks ! And, in a parallel universe, I think we could choose Jamie Hanks from I, Declare War. Because he is fucking brutal.

PSAB: What is the metal scene like in Rumilly?

MF: Rumilly is a small town, there are about 18,000 unhabitants. It is not a rock’n’roll city, it is pretty calm. But there are also some other metal bands like L’Epouvantail or Shaytan who are both good friends of us. So, even if the metal scene is not very active in Rumilly, there will be always some metalheads ready to move to your shows, coming from every villages around Rumilly.

PSAB: What are three bands that play the most influence on your music?

MF: Winds Of Plague, I Declar War, Cannibal Corpse.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to your fans, and the readers out there?

MF: Thank you for giving us support, keep moving to local shows, you rock. Thank you who is actually reading, don’t hesitate to listen to our music and to give your opinion. See you in the pit and stay Feculent, bitches.
