Interview with Unanswered!

Band: Unanswered
Genre: Deathcore / Death Metal

Q: Where does the band name "Unanswered" come from?
It's sort of funny, you know. Back when the band was formed and it played something else, those guys kept asking themselves how to name the band. No one had any ideas so the question remained "unanswered". Many people thought we're named after a Suicide Silence song, we ourselves too. I had to pull this story out of Ɓukasz, our vocalist, who was the man behind the band name.
Q: Your debut single released in September, "Those Of No Shame." How was the feedback?
Well, it was a debut release and as for such it was received quite well. We were actually quite how many people gave positive feedback. We also had some negative opinions. We're fine with that, you can't fit everyone's needs.
Q: What is the local metal scene in Warsaw?
Mediocre. There aren't many noticeable bands out there in Warsaw at the moment. Overall, Poland generally excels in the death and thrash metal field, so it's harder for core band to get noticed.
Q: What are three bands that play an influence on your music on the most?
It's really hard to pick just three. All of us come from a different musical background and so, we like to think that it gives our music a more personal dimension. Amongst the bands that influenced each of us are Decapitated, Dream Theater, Meshuggah, Veil of Maya, Lamb of God, Gojira, Whitechapel, Periphery, Misery Signals. We could go on forever.
Q: When can we expect your debut EP?
Actually, we have released our EP soon after putting out our single - "Those of no Shame". You can download it here: http://unanswered1.bandcamp.com/album/unanswered-ep
Q: What are your plans for this year? The debut EP? Tour?
Destroy the world, obviously. There were some changes in our line-up changes after new year's but our new guitarist has already acclimatised, we're working on new songs and hopefully we will record our first long play sometime later this year. We also have plans regarding a tour to support our EP. It also would be great to hit the road outside of Poland, we'd love people to hear about us outside of our country.
Q: Do you have any shout outs to give?\
Sure! We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us from the very beginning, all the guys from the Polish Deathcore Crew, who helped us out a lot, Grzegorz Mukanowski for his insights on our music and his valuable knowledge in the studio. All our fans, maybe there's not many of the out there, but it's not the quantity that matters :)
