Take Charge - The Shepherd of Sodomy [REVIEW]

Purchase: Digital
Genre: Deathcore

Take Charge's new single, "The Shepherd of Sodomy" is a three minute and thirty second song, filled with tons of brutality. The introduction pulls you into the song right away, it has the rhythm that keeps you bopping your head as the song goes along. The vocals of the song are very raw; deathcore lows and high screams. There is a breakdown at around 1:48 in the song, which isn't your typical breakdown, because it is not super heavy. I would define it as a "calm breakdown" in some way. At 2:20, the vocals change the pace by being more upbeat and in-your-face, almost similar to Fronz from Attila. The song ends with guitar chugging, low screams, and drum work; all in all, it is a good deathcore song. If you were a fan of Take Charge before, you will love this track, and even newcomers will love this track. The other issue I have is that the quality is not great, and it is noticeable throughout the song.

Song Score: 4 / 5
