Q: Where does the band "Coherence" come from, and why did you choose it for your band name?

We come from Oleśnica and places nearby. Name COHERENCE refers to many domains of music, physic, psychology and philosophy. We identify it mostly through music, which defines cohesion of sounds in our music, but with no strict boundaries.

Q: What is the metal scene like in Oleśnica?

Oleśnica is a small town, so local scene isn’t wide. Beside Coherence there are few metal, punk rock bands, but in our kind of music we are probably the only local band. 

 

Q: What are your some of your influences for your music?

We find inspiration for our music in every sphere of life. If you ask us about bands we can count thousands of them starting with classic as KISS, Motley Crue, Slayer, Suffocation and Nile through Despised Icon, Carnifex, Drown My Day, Behemoth, Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Betraying the Martyrs, Born of Osiris. It’s almost countless.

Q: If you could play live with any band ever, which band would it be and why?

Wow, as I said before there are many of them, but if you ask me about my top 3 - Meshuggah, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse.

Q: Was their any particular reason in time that made you start wanting to make music?

My adventure with music started when I was a child. I used to learn in music school where I played jazz music most of the time. My metal journey remains since 2006. Now I am fully conscious of music I play and love. I enjoy making music. It’s a great fun for me. Music just everything in my life. There is nothing I should say more.

Q: What are your plans for the rest of this year?

In Coherence we actually work on our CD which I hope to be released on holidays. We are about to make a music video too. By the way, I would like to add two words about my second band’s plans – Soundfear. We will record a single and music video in two/three months. I invite you all to check both my bands.
