Interview with Shadows In Our Mind!

Band: Shadows In Our Mind
Genre: Deathcore / Death Metal

Q: What does the band name "Shadows In Our Mind" mean exactly, and why was it chosen to be your band name?

Well, "Shadows In Our Mind" was actually just something I came up with after trying so many different names, But everyone seems to like the name, So that's all that counts.

Q: You are currently sponsored by Pure Deathcore. How is the experience being sponsored by them?

Being sponsored by Pure Deathcore is very exciting, I've never had any sponsorships or anything like that to begin with, I love the promotion, Very glad I got sponsored to them!

Q: Shadows In Our Mind is a one-man band, why did you choose this route compared to the traditional route for bands?

I actually started this One Man project out of boredom, And because I love deathcore music, plus the fact that I barely know anyone who would actually put time into a band with me at the time. Being a musician in general is honestly one of the best feelings I've ever had, To talk to all of these other musicians and see how they record, Why they record, And just stuff about their projects in general to me, Is just amazing. I've met a lot of cool people through my music career.

Q: Are there any other one-man bands that have been a influence on your band/music?

No, I had no clue anyone did one man projects until I started my own. But I've found some one man projects along the way.

Q: What is the local metal scene like in Corbin, Kentucky?

It is shit, To be honest, But then again I wasn't into Metal until I moved here, All of my friends like Metal though, So they support it.

Q: What are your plans for this year?

Well, First I want to finish this new EP "The Echoes Beneath" then  was considering about re-releasing my first EP "Disconnected From Reality" there will also be some collaboration coming as well, This is going to be a good year for Shadows In Our Mind!

Q: Do you have any shout outs to give?

Yes, Of course! I would like to give a shout out to BeheadingTheTraitor, Pure Deathcore, my new and official producer Embrace The Plague Media, Can't Kill A Cowboy and my boys in Deceptionist!
