Interview with Our Judgment!

Band: Our Judgment
Genre: Metalcore / Thrash

Q: Where does your band name "Our Judgment" come from?

The name Our Judgment really had no meaning when we picked it, we wanted to have a name that was open to interpretation not only for listeners but for our members as well.

Q: What is it like to work with your general manager Jesse? Has the experience been good?

Jesse has been a great guy to work with. We would not be doing what we are doing if we never crossed paths, his work ethic alone is through the roof!

Q: Your new EP, Concepts, recently released. What was the feedback like?

So far, the feedback we have received on the new material has been Awesome! Were happy but we are always striving to revise and create more to keep our fans as happy as possible- So we are by no means "content". We started writing new songs the day after Concepts released.

Q: You've played with a lot of big name bands; After The Burial, Within The Ruins, Veil of Maya, etc. Which one has been your favorite to play with?
All of those bands have been phenomenal to share the stage with and also very supportive to us as at the same time, always encouraging us with kind words. One band that we love and want to give a shout out to is The Contortionist! Those dudes are awesome and whenever they roll through the area we always kick it!

Q: How is the underground metal scene like in Eau Claire, WI?

Haha! EC metal scene is not the greatest but it is improving every day. It's hard because Eau Claire is huge on folk fork and more indie music (Bon Iver's/Justin Vernon's home town). We are slowly bringing the city around though!

Q: What are your plans for this year?

Our plan is to tour our asses off the remainder of the year, and continue writing new jams for a later release... maybe a single? We will see! Keep your eyes peeled for a new video from Our Judgment and Rico Roman Productions. Also, Catch us at the Road to the Sphinx Battle of the Bands at Mojoes in Joliet, IL fighting for a slot on All-Stars tour 2013!

Q: Any shout outs to give?

Shout out to Forsaken Promotions, Rico Roman, Josh Johnson Photography, Horizon Clothing, All Eyes On Us Apparel and many friends too many to name. Of Course a shout-out to all our families! Eau Claire, Wisconsin we love you!. Green Bay Packers (Division Champs WUT!), any local burrito shop and Pig Squeals and Breakdowns we love you! Make sure to check us out on the new sampler that Pig Squeals And Breakdowns is putting together!
