Don't Forget To Breathe - Decay [REVIEW]

Genre: Deathcore / Metalcore

Don't Forget To Breathe's most recent single, "Decay" shows that they have turned into a more heavier band since their last EP Eden. The song borderlines between deathcore and metalcore. It starts out with guitar, drums, and low vocals. It transitions into a breakdown but goes back into the same sound it started with. Soon thereafter, it has another, larger, breakdown with gutturals. The pace slows down a bit after the previous breakdown, but, there is another breakdown at the end of the song. The pace is the normal kind of metalcore/deathcore would have; guitar chugging, drums, bass, low and high screams, etc.

"Decay" is an average deathcore/metalcore song. It has all the elements you would expect from a deathcore/metalcore song, but doesn't really have any other elements to it. I wanna say it is a 'cookie cutter' deathcore/metalcore song. Nothing really stands out, except for the three breakdowns in the four minute song. So... if you're into the normal metalcore/deathcore, and breakdowns, you will probably like this.

Score: 2.5/5
