Interview with Combaticus!

Genre(s): Deathcore/Groove/Slam
Location: Rapid City, South Dakota

PSAB: Where did you get the band name "Combaticus" from?

Combaticus: Combaticus is a fictional character from the adult swim show Superjail. He is the ultimate killing machine, but in the end he sacrifices himself to save his creators and ascends to the stars as the new god of war. It's a pretty ridiculous show but it's brutal and we love it.

PSAB: You recently released a new single "Blood Eagle." How was the feedback when you released it, and how is the feedback now?

Combaticus: The feedback on Blood Eagle had been nothing but positive and after two days has surpassed the views for the first track we released two weeks prior. Thanks to everyone for the support!
PSAB: If you had the chance to be signed to any record label, which label would that be and why?

Combaticus: Any label that would help us travel and make a living playing extreme music. Metal Blade, Relapse, Sumerian, Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Rise, Victory, and Earache are a few to name. Between all the members of the band I can't say we have a favorite label.

PSAB: What one band has played the most influence on your music?

Combaticus: Pretty much every member of this band draws their main influences from a different sub-genre and/or band(s). For Mikey and myself (guitars), we combine his progressive deathcore style with my grind and slam style, throw in Pato's funky jazz bass, slap that on top of Danabot's groovy death drums, top it all off with Harry's vocal range and you got yourself a sandwich.

PSAB: If you could feature one musician on one of your songs, which musician would that be?

Combaticus: Die Antwoord or Ronny Radke, hahaha. Jokes aside we want some international collaboration so Luke Griffin of Acrania.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to readers out there?

Combaticus: Just a big shout out to all the fans of the band and extreme music. Thank you for keeping this shit alive!
