Interview with Drifted!

Genre(s): Deathcore
Location: Exeter

PSAB: Where does the name "Drifted" come from exactly?

Drifted: The name arose about a year and a half ago when this band was just a few riffs written by Harry and Jay. We decided on the name because we thought it was cool, simple and easy to remember. How wrong we were.

PSAB: How has the feedback been for your EP No Front Teeth?

Drifted: Better than expected! When we released the Ep it received over 200 downloads within 48 hours, and it’s been shared by pages like Total Deathcore, which is pretty sweet! We weren’t expecting to gain that kind of exposure so quickly.

PSAB: You're currently unsigned, if you could be signed to any record label, which label would that be and why?

Drifted: Probably Century Media or Artery Foundation for sure, the bands signed to these labels are doing really well for themselves and appear to have a close working connection with their label, plus it would be awesome to say we were on a label with some sick bands!

PSAB: If you had the chance to any musician featured on one of your tracks. Which musician would that be?

Drifted: Either Winston McCall or Mitch Lucker. Both have a unique style that no other vocalist could achieve.

PSAB: What three bands have played the most influence on your music?

Drifted: This is a hard one because we all have different artists that have influenced our playing and writing styles. However as a band . . . probably Chelsea Grin, Heart of A Coward and Black Tongue.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to your fans?

Drifted: A massive thank you to everyone who has downloaded our Ep, shared it, or even just listened to it, even if you thought it was shit!  On a personal basis, Karl Hayward; this guy is basically part of the band, he’s given us so much support over the last year! Peace!
