Interview with Knives on Mind!

Genre(s): Erotic Brutal Deathcore
Location: Augsburg/Bavaria

PSAB: Why did you choose the name "Knives on Mind" for your band? Also, what does that band name mean?

KOM: It took us so long to chose a name and we chose the name „Knives on Mind“ because we wanted a name which is not just a name  it should be able to describe our music and lyrics. So if you understand our music and understand what we want to say, you definitely going to think about the world and you’ll be hurt by the sad reality.

PSAB: When can we expect your upcoming EP Your Existence to release? Sometime before Fall?

KOM: We are going to release „Your Existence“ at September the 19th. We wish we could release earlier but we had a few problems with artworks, money and all the things you need for a release.

PSAB: You're currently unsigned, if you could be signed to any record label, which label would that be and why?

KOM: If we could chose a record label it would be „Century Media Records“ they have awesome bands like Black Tongue so if you are signed there you can be sure that you have some talent.

PSAB: You consider yourself as "Erotic Brutal Deathcore." What makes your music more "erotic" than the other deathcore bands out there?

KOM: The erotic thing about us is that every band member listens to an other sub-genre so we don't just do deathcore, we  get everything  in our songs so we have a  few djent parts in it, a few hardcore parts, guitar sweepings and much more so there's something for anyone.

PSAB: If you had the chance to hold a festival with six different bands of your choosing. Which six bands would you choose?

KOM: Black Tongue, we are big fans of them and they are so insane live.
Thy Art Is Murder also big fans of their performances.
Heart of a Coward, we went to a show not so long ago – one of the best shows we ever went to.
Hacktivist, the Rap + Djent = Amazing
Breakdown of Sanity, their breakdowns makes you mosh and while you mosh you just feel like an epic warrior
Chelsea Grin, but only if the play their old songs the new ones are guy as fuck.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to the readers out there?

KOM
: Go to local shows! Support your locals bands and venues!
