Interview with Accursed Kingdom!

Genre(s): Deathcore/Hardcore
Location: Harlow, Essex

PSAB: What is the story behind the band name "Accursed Kingdom"?

AK
: It’s about the decline of the UK and how it is showing no signs of coming back. It’s destined for nothing else.

PSAB: You dropped your newest EP 'Indoctrinated Race' earlier this month (October). How has the feedback been for that EP?

AK
:
The Feedback has been insane! We have had so many good comments made about it, every track has been taken well by people who enjoy the music aspect and the songs as a whole. Every form of social media we have has been this way. So we’re far from disappointed!

PSAB: You're currently sponsored by Pure Deathcore. How has the experience been being sponsored by them?

AK
:
It’s been amazing so far! They’ve helped us so much with exposure to people who hadn’t heard of us before. We even had trouble with the quality of our latest single ‘indoctrinated race’, and they let us upload it to their own YouTube channel to boost the reach for us.

PSAB: If you had the choice to tour any country with two other bands; which country would you tour, and what tour bands would you choose?

AK
:
We would love to tour the USA, most of our favourite bands are out there. If we had to pick unsigned artists it would be Beneath The Wake and Fallen Apollo. Signed artists we wouldn’t hesitate to choose The Acacia Strain and Thy Art Is Murder.

PSAB: What are the bands that play the most influence on your music?

AK
:
As a band we all have different influences, the vocalist takes inspiration from The Black Dahlia Murder, especially in his lyric writing, as well as old Whitechapel and The fall of troy. Our drummer is heavily influenced by Meshuggah and job For a Cowboy.

As for the guitarists and bassist, as long as it’s heavy it influences us! Anything from The Acacia Strain, Thy Art Is Murder, Ingested, Aegaeon, Aversions Crown, and so on!

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to your fans, and the readers out there?

AK
:
As cliché as it sounds, anyone who has spent as little as a penny for us. It all helps, from petrol money, paying for studio and practice time, paying for more merch and getting it printed. It means so much to us, and we’re trying as hard as we can to give back what others put in. It all keeps us going!
