Animalist's single "Death Walk" is on the heavier side of hardcore, with a lot of deathcore and progressive influences. They remind me of Gift Giver, Overthrower, and Damager, so if you're into either one of those bands, you will more than likely enjoy Animalist. For the most part, the song is chugging guitars and low screams are the only type of vocals to be heard in the song. It has a very down-tempo feel and sound to it as well. I think "Death Walk" falls under the genre "hatecore" fairly well. If you're into down-tempo, hate filled hardcore, then look no further!
