Interview with Condemned By Faith!

Genre(s): Metalcore
Location: Blue Mountain, MS

PSAB: Why did you choose the name "Condemned By Faith" for your band?

CBF: We look at our name as a representation of upcoming artists that have faced trial and error and have received no support for their work. People tend to condemn these artist for putting their selves out there and allowing people to judge their music.  Also, no one usually has faith in them in the beginning and that is what our name derives from.

PSAB: Your album Falling comes out November 14. Are you excited for its release and what can we expect from it?

CBF: We are so stoked for our album release show and are expecting a huge turnout. In this album you have everything from tone topping melodies to face melting breakdowns. We have put a lot of work into this album. We were trying to grab different snippets from different metal genres so everybody can get something out of it.

PSAB: If you had the choice to have a musician featured on one of your tracks. Which musician would that be and why?

CBF: Many of us in the band would say Ryan Kirby from Fit For A King or Vincent Bennett from The Acacia Strain, but I would say Levi Bennett from Miss May I. Levi as a person is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He is a very genuine down to earth guy. Also, not to mention how good of an artist the man is. He is a Beast!

PSAB: What is the metal scene like in Blue Mountain, MS?

CBF: There really in all honesty is no music scene. Before we started bringing our shows to our hometown there were no musicians looking to build a metal scene. Bluegrass and country dominate this area leaving no room for metal heads like us. This circumstance is what we thrive off of to start a metal scene. So far, we have been successful.

PSAB: What are three bands that play the most influence on your music?

CBF: August Burns Red really influence the song structure that we typically follow. Our style mostly derives from the tonality of Kill switch Engaged. Also, Lamb of God was another huge influence.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to the readers out there?

CBF: We just want to thank everyone that has taken time out of their day to read what we have to say about this wonderful we call metal. If it wasn't for our fans we would still be in our drummers garage head banging against the wall. Also, we want to thank our producer Travis Wilburn for pushing us through the whole process. We would also like to thank Britton Shrum for doing the album art on the album.
