Damager releases new music video for song "Betrayer"

Down tempo/beatdown hardcore band, Damager, released a new music video yesterday for their song "Betrayer." The song is taken from their debut EP Abomination, which released in July of 2013. The music video is of the band playing the song live, and overall the song is pretty heavy. Fans of down tempo music will surely enjoy this.

PSAB: Where does the band name "Get The Gun" come from exactly?

GTG: GET THE GUN came from our vocalist, Alex. His mom would always use the reference. But as time went on, as a band, we came up with the real meaning behind it. We're all fed up with how our world is manipulated.  Fuck this society and way things are controlled. Get the gun and have fun with your life.

PSAB: What bands did you listen to growing up, and do those bands play an influence on your music?

GTG: We all grew up listening to bands like Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Hatebreed, and Pantera. It definitely plays a roll in out tunes. With out those bands, where would any new age music be?

PSAB: You recently released your album Believers. How was the feedback for that album?

GTG: Anything we've heard thus far has been awesome.  People have been saying it slams, so that's cool hear!

PSAB: What is the local metal scene like in Little Falls, MN?

GTG: Most of the members live in Little Falls, MN. Our actual "scene" is located in St. Cloud. It has been growing the past year. We've recently had some huge tours come through, which is awesome to see. We hope the momentum continues on in the years to come!

PSAB: You're currently unsigned. If you could be signed to any record label, which label would be it?

GTG: We dig all the band on Summerian and Mediaskare. We feel as if our Genre would fit best with one of those two, but also We are Triumphant records has been signing some pretty sweet bands as well.

PSAB: Do you have any shout outs to give to your fans?

GTG: A huge shout out to anyone who knows about GET THE GUN. Thanks to anyone who has came to a show, Bought some merch or a CD, listened to us on youtube, or shared our page with friends. It really does mean the world!

Resentment, a deathcore band, releases new song "Grim Assault"

Deathcore/hardcore band, Resentment, released a new song titled "Grim Assault" through BeheadingTheTraitor earlier today. The band is from New Jersey. The song is a mix of heavy-hitting deathcore with some beatdown hardcore influences. Basically, it's fucking heavy.

Era of Desolance - Victimized [REVIEW]

Era of Desolance's EP Victimized is one heavy hitting hardcore album, and is definitely not something you should skip over if you're into beatdown. It has six songs and about 15 minutes worth of materials. It does sound like deathcore at times, but keeps to its beatdown hardcore roots. The vocals are mostly mid screams, but the mid screams sound like they have some type of guttural addition to them. The instrumentals are mostly guitar chugging and breakdowns, in some songs they are faster, and others they're not.

The second song off of this EP is "Victimized" and it has a slow tempo. Vocally, it sticks to mid screams and low screams. The mid screams have a burping/guttural sound to them, but they're good and work well with the instrumentals. On that note, the instrumentals stick to guitar chugging for majority of the song, except for some breaks for guitar riffs. The pace is steady from start to finish, there really isn't an increase in speed.

The following song "Catching Fade" and it sounds more beatdown than the previous song. This song is the shortest song on the album. The vocals stick to the same kind of style they had on previous songs, which is okay. The pace of this song is pretty slow going, not in the slightest upbeat. Instrumentals are basically one prolonged breakdown.

Victimized is a slow going album, and from the first song to the last song, it has a constant beatdown hardcore sound. They do not stray from this type of sound, and I like that for this album. At some points, they do sound like deathcore, but those points are very small. So! If you're into beatdown hardcore, you'll definitely like Era of Desolance and their EP Victimized. It's name your price on their Bandcamp, so pick it up!
