Two Things I Forgot To Post About; Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin
Chelsea Grin's new album Ashes To Ashes released yesterday. I don't have much to say about it, as I haven't listened to the album, nor do I plan to until I pick it up on the next trip to FYE. But! You can purchase Ashes To Ashes here!
The second thing I didn't have the chance to post about was Suicide Silence releasing a full stream of their new album You Can't Stop Me. You can listen to the full album below, and still pre-order the album before it releases on the 11th here.

Suicide Silence Releases New Music Video For New Song "You Can't Stop Me"
Suicide Silence released a new music video for their title track from their new album You Can't Stop Me yesterday, the song is titled "You Can't Stop Me." This song was the last song their former vocalist, Mitch Lucker, lyrically wrote before his life came to an end. The song is okay, some of the instrumentals makes me want to bop my head in some parts, and in others it's quite boring. But, hey, that's just me. Near the end of the video, Jay from Jay and Silent Bob makes an appearance, which was a nice touch (I'm a big Jay and Silent Bob fan).

This album actually sounds promising, excluding the actual music portion of the album. Twelve tracks and two bonus songs is nice, plus with featured vocalists like George Fisher and Greg Puciato, I am curious how their respective featured tracks will sound. Perhaps we'll see Suicide Silence gear towards more of a death metal sound and less deathcore? Who knows!

Suicide Silence to release new album 'You Can't Stop Me' in July
This announcement is taken from Nuclear Blast Record's Facebook page,
"Suicide Silence will release YOU CAN'T STOP ME, their first album to feature new vocalist Eddie Hermida (ex- ALL SHALL PERISH) and their first since the tragic loss of singer Mitch Lucker, on July 11 (Europe), July 14 (UK) and July 15, 2014 (North America) via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

YOU CAN'T STOP ME was produced and mixed by Steve Evetts (SEPULTURA, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, WARBRINGER), who worked with the band not only on The Black Crown, but also on some instrumental demos just prior to the tragedy of Fall 2012.
“The long and short of it is this,” explains guitarist Mark Heylmun. “Mitch left behind a set of lyrics with the title You Can't Stop Me. This gave us chills to say the least and we knew we had the title and title track. This filled us with inspiration for writing sessions to empower us and empower you, the supporters of SUICIDE SILENCE.
“We as a band (and Steve Evetts) worked tirelessly on this record and I'm not gonna say we can't wait for you to hear it. I'm gonna tell you that you have to hear it. You have to sit and listen from start to finish. I'm not gonna tell you this is our best record we've ever done. I'm gonna tell you this is the record we care more about than any record we've ever done. This is a record that we fought, bled, sweated, and fucking cried over.
“You Can't Stop Me is out July 15th on Nuclear Blast, go pick up a copy and turn this sucker up to eleven. We couldn't be more excited. Thank you all for supporting SUICIDE SILENCE.”
Vocalist Eddie Hermida most recently made his official live debut with the band, during this year’s installment of the Soundwave Festival in Australia. Nuclear Blast Entertainment is a division of Nuclear Blast Records formed by Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger and former Roadrunner A&R chief, Monte Conner.
SUICIDE SILENCE's latest album, The Black Crown, sold nearly 15,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 28 on The Billboard 200 chart.
SUICIDE SILENCE members:
Eddie Hermida - Vocals
Chris Garza - Guitar
Mark Heylmun - Guitar
Alex Lopez - Drums
Dan Kenny - Bass"
Definitely curious as to how Suicide Silence will sound like on You Can't Stop Me.

Suicide Silence signs to Nuclear Blast Records
Suicide Silence recently announced that they have signed to Nuclear Blast Records. The record label houses a lot of big-name bands like Carnifex, Carcass, Children of Bodom, Eluveitie, and the list goes on. It really is no surprise to see them sign to another record label soon after they announced Eddie joined at their vocalist. Here is the official statement of the band via Nuclear Blast Records,
"SUICIDE SILENCE and Nuclear Blast Entertainment, the new division of Nuclear Blast formed by Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger and former Roadrunner A&R chief, Monte Conner just announced that they have inked a deal. As one of the leaders of the extreme modern metal movement, it is only fitting that their new home be one of the biggest metal labels on the planet.
It’s a union that is sure to bring much success to both parties in the not so distant future. “I've been following SUICIDE SILENCE since their debut album and immediately grew to love their music,“ commented Nuclear Blast CEO, Markus Staiger. “I knew we had to work with this amazing band and today is the day to finally welcome one of the most brutal bands on Earth to the Nuclear Blast family. The next SUICIDE SILENCE album will no doubt push boundaries once again.“ “I am thrilled to have such an innovative and unique band like SUICIDE SILENCE as the first signing to Nuclear Blast Entertainment,” added NBE President Monte Conner. “Even though I was totally blown away by their last album, The Black Crown, I am certain the band’s best music is still ahead of them.”
Guitarist Mark Heylmun commented: “I and all of SUICIDE SILENCE are proud to announce that we have signed a worldwide deal with the one and only Nuclear Blast. It wasn't a tough decision, Nuclear Blast has been a huge part of heavy metal for decades and we couldn't be happier. This is a new beginning for us and we're ready as all hell! Let Chapter 2 begin now!” "I am beyond stoked to be signing to the sickest of all heavy metal record labels,” continues bassist Dan Kenny. “It has been a dream of mine since I was a youngster with Nuclear Blast posters on my bedroom wall"
North American Label Manager Gerardo Martinez concluded: “It’s pretty amazing when you hear SUICIDE SILENCE talk about the Nuclear Blast bands they love. It puts all of us on the same level - we are all music fans here. Super stoked to be a part of history with this Californian bunch!” SUICIDE SILENCE’s Nuclear Blast Entertainment debut is tentatively scheduled for a Summer 2013 release. SUICIDE SILENCE's latest album, The Black Crown, sold upwards of 14,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 28 on The Billboard 200 chart.
