Interview with Scorched By The Flaming Goat!

PSAB: Where did the band name "Scorched By The Flaming Goat" come from?

SBTFG: Well first of all, I am Ignacio , vocalist of Scorched By The Flaming Goat.Thanks a lot for this interview. We are really honored of being part of an interview, actually the first interview I've ever done hahaha

The band's name came up a couple years ago when I was partying on my own smoking some joints and well I got pretty stoned. After a few minutes of nothingness I started to watch some "screaming goat" videos on youtube, and after like 10 videos I started thinking about how awesome could it be a screaming goat that blow fire out of their mouth. Then some others stupid thing happened hahah , but that's the main reason why we got that name 

PSAB: Your new EP Felony is set to release sometime this month. How many tracks will this EP have, and what can expect from it?

SBTFG: Yes, we are about to release our debut EP this month. It will be out for download in mid August ( between 20 - 28 of August). The EP has 6 tracks which includes an instrumental intro and outro. The music of the EP goes from some black dahlia murder's kind of riffs including some breakdowns and black metal-ish riffs, followed by 3 tracks that have more aggressive and chaotic riffs ( one of them is the track that we released as a promo single a couple weeks ago), finally ending with the more aggressive with some creepy atmospheres that ends with an Abigail Williams's style. So be prepared to listen something that will blow out your mind

PSAB: If you had the choice to tour any country, which country would that be and why?

SBTFG: We've thought about it all the time and we all agree that we would like to go to the US, because there are more places to set a live show and also is the country of our main influences for the band. 

PSAB: How is the metal scene in Santiago, Chile?

SBTFG: The metal scene in Chile always have been very exclusive , except for the underground scene that includes mostly Thrash and Death Metal bands. In our case, all the members of the band has grown in the hardcore/metal scene therefor we've always play with bunch of other melodic hardcore, deathcore, metalcore bands. That scene in Santiago is quite dead, i must say that there were better days for the scene.

PSAB: What kind of bands did you listen to growing up? Do those same bands make an influence on your music now? 

SBTFG: Most of us have grown up listening to metal and then expanding our tastes to the hardcore/metal music. And yes we all like band like The Black Dahlia Murder , Fleshgod Apocalypse, Abigail Williams , Winds Of Plagues and lots of others band that  influenced us to make our music. I'm sure that you'll notice that when you listen to our music!

PSAB: Have any shout outs to give to the readers, and yours fans?

SBTFG: Prepare to listen the most angry , chaotic, atmospheric and heartbreaking screaming that will haunt you all night long. We are Scorched By The Flaming Goat and prepare to burn all this shit !!
