Lorna Shore Enters Studio To Record New Album!

"New Jersey metal band LORNA SHORE have just entered The Machine Shop recording studio to begin work on their debut full-length album with producer Will Putney (Thy Art Is Murder, Upon A Burning Body, Fit For An Autopsy). The album will be released next spring through Density Records.

“We’re really excited to work with Will on these new songs,” said guitarist Adam DeMicco. “The songs are a lot darker, heavier and more technical and we can’t wait to get this music out for everyone to hear.”

Formed in 2010, vocalist Tom Barber, guitarist Adam DeMicco, bassist Gary Herrera and drummer Austin Archey have previously released two EP’s, 2011’s Born Kingdom and 2014’s Maleficium. Guitarist Connor Deffley joined the band in 2014.

The Maleficium EP peaked at #15 on CMJ’s metal chart and featured two tracks which each spawned a demonic video: “Godmaker” and “Cre(h)ate."

Lorna Shore’s next planned live show will be at the Despised Icon reunion show on December 21st at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts with The Red Chord, Within The Ruins, The Last Ten Seconds of Life, and many more. Lorna Shore signs with Density Records

Lorna Shore has signed with Density Records and their highly accepted EP Maleficium is set to re-release March 18th through their new record label. I received this information from Density Records in an email, here is the full email,

MALEFICIUM EP to be re-released March 18

On Tour With CARNIFEX Starting February 21

(February 14, 2014) – The New Jersey-based, four-piece metal band LORNA SHORE announces their signing to Density Records today. Tom Barber (vocals), Adam De Micco (guitar), Gary Herrera (bass), and Austin Archey (drums) are collectively LORNA SHORE and will release their sophomore EP entitled MALEFICIUM through all digital carriers as well as physically through all proper retail channels. The EP will be released on March 18, 2014 and will feature updated artwork.

“We are thrilled to be working with Density and cannot wait for Maleficium to spread like a virus across America,“ commented Herrera. De Micco added, “We set out on making one of the most evil groupings of songs ever heard and ‘Maleficium’ is the only word that can truly describe what we created.”

The five-track EP was recorded at The Machine Shop with producer Zakk Cervini and was self-released through the band’s web store and on iTunes in December. The video for the first track, “Godmaker,” was directed by Dan Newman and has already received over 100,000 views.

LORNA SHORE formed in 2010 and in 2012 released their first EP, Bone Kingdom. The group is next heading out on the ‘Die Without Hope Tour’ with Carnifex, I Declare War, Here Comes the Kraken and Assassins. The tour begins in San Diego, California on February 21 and currently wraps up in Anaheim, California on March 29. On April 20, Lorna Shore will be performing closer to home at the Eat Your Heart Out Festival in Poughkeepsie, New York.
